BOURQUE, LOU MILES -- Lou Miles Bourque (maiden name Dozier), born Nov. 22, 1925, in Dupont, died Saturday evening, March 19, 2005, of Lou Gehrig's Disease. She was preceded in death by her husband of 25 years, Coy C. Miles; husband of 25 years, Douglas L. Gautreau; and husband of three years, John A. Bourque Sr. She is survived by children Kenneth R. Miles and wife Becky (Martin) of Willow City, Texas, David R. Miles and wife Carol (Rahmel) of Gonzales and Nancy van Mourik (Miles) and husband Ron of The Woodlands, Texas; grandchildren, Darren Miles, Steven and James Martin, Christy Miles Bennett, Ryan Miles and Maureen, Lindsey and Ross van Mourik; and great-grandchildren, Liam and Mollie Bennett, Anna Martin and Madison Miles. Lou worked as a senior volunteer in the St. Theresa Catholic Church in Gonzales and her favorite pastime was dancing. She was a resident of Gonzales since 1966, after moving to Louisiana from Groves, Texas. Lou passed away in her home, lovingly surrounded by her family and friends, including Joseph Longa of Duplessis. Her family was blessed with Sadie Harvey, Ruby Christoff and Barbara Harrell, who provided exceptional care for Lou the last several months. Visitation will be at St. Mark's Catholic Church in Gonzales from 9:30 a.m. Tuesday, March 22, until funeral Mass at 11 a.m. Interment in Hope Haven Cemetery in Gonzales. In lieu of flowers and gifts, donations can be made in Lou's memory to the MDA/ALS Association, 8126 One Calais Ave., Suite 1D, Baton Rouge, LA 70809. Welsh Funeral Home, 426 W.
