Dorothy L. (Dressel) Talbot, 96, of Manchester, formerly of South Windsor and Danbury, wife of the late Arthur E. Talbot, passed away peacefully Sunday, October 30, 2005 at an area convalescent home.She was born in New York City. June 16, 1909, daughter of the late Charles G. and Daisy (Weston) Dressel and had resided in the South Windsor and Manchester area since 1997. She was a member of Second Congregational Church, Manchester; a former longtime member of Central Christian Church in Danbury; a former member of the Board of Associated Religious Communities (ARC) and was involved in Southeast Asian Refugees Resettlement and Danbury Elderly Outreach Program.Mrs. Talbot is survived by two daughters, Dorothy June Cottle and her husband, Roger of South Windsor and Carol M. DeFazio of Rio Rico, Ariz.; a sister, Miriam Illick of Danbury; six grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.Private family service will be in Wapping Cemetery, South Windsor, with a memorial service to be scheduled at Second Congregational Church, 385 North Main Street, Manchester, at a later date.
