B. Elizabeth Northrop, 80, formerly of Reading, died Feb. 10 in her residence in Nashville, Tenn., where she had resided since 2003. Her husband, Richard F. Northrop, died Oct. 22, 1979. Born in Nashville, she was a daughter of the Rev. Thomas and Gertrude (Dycus) DuBois and was the foster daughter of the late Rev. and Mrs. G. B. Breese. Northrop was a member of Emmanuel Nazarene Church, Nashville. Surviving is a daughter, the Rev. Vona Elizabeth (Northrop) Smith, Marietta, Ga.Other survivors include a sister, Inez (DuBois) Vigil, and a half brother, David Austin, both of Nashville. There are also three grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. Services were held in the Spring Hill Funeral Home, Nashville. Burial was in Spring Hill Cemetery, Nashville.
