BERLIN, NH -- Antoinette (Duchesnaye) Riendeau, 94, passed away in the late evening hours of Sunday, November 13, 2005, at the St. Vincent DePaul Healthcare Center, where she had been residing since January of 1997.She was born in Chisolm, Maine, on August 25, 1911, the daughter of the late Delina (Pelchat) and Simeon Duchesnaye. A lifelong Berlin resident, she lived for many years on Summer Street. She was married to Sylvenie Riendeau, and together they raised six children.Mrs. Riendeau was employed for many years as a stitcher for Granite State Rubber, and it was from there that she retired in 1972. She was a longtime member of St. Anne Church, and was also a member of Local 75, as well as the Golden Age Club. In her spare time, she enjoyed reading and spending time with friends. She was also very happy spending any time with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was also a talented cook. She will be missed by all that knew her.She is survived by two sons, Arthur Riendeau, and his wife Therese of Berlin and Zephyrhills, Florida, and George Riendeau, and his wife Kathryn of Groveton, NH; two daughters, Jeanne Daigle, and her husband, Roland, of Berlin, Georgette Parker and her husband Marvin of Clyde, Texas, as well as a daughter-in-law, Yvette Berthiaume, of Gorham, and a son-in-law Charles Morlock, of Falmouth, ME. She is also survived by three sisters, Jeanne Belanger, of Concord, NH, Germaine Fontaine, of Berlin and Gertrude Bruso of Chicopee, MA. She also leaves behind 17 grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren, and many, many nieces, nephews and friends.She was preceded in death by both of her parents, her husband, Sylvenie Riendeau on June 17, 1983, her son, Rene Riendeau, her daughter, Juliette Morlock, a brother, Rosaire Duchesnaye and four sisters, Cecile Nichols, Delina Riendeau, Theresa Cloutier, and Simone Masse.Friends and relatives may call on the family on Wednesday, November 16, 2005, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the Fleury-Patry Funeral Home, 72 High Street in Berlin.A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, November 17, 2005, at 11 a.m. at St. Anne Church of Good Shepherd Parish, 345 Pleasant Street, in Berlin.
