RACINE - Bob Duchesneau Sr., 74, passed away at St. Luke's Hospital in Milwaukee on Sunday, November 20, 2005. He was born in Beloit on April 29, 1931, the son of the late Aldaige E. and Florence (nee: Mason) Duchesneau. On August 18, 1951, he married the former Phyllis Lederman in Brodhead, WI. Bob served his country with the United States Navy aboard the USS Prairie AD15 from 1951-1955. He was employed by Walker Manufacturing Company for almost 30 years, retiring in 1993. Bob was an active member of Mount Pleasant Lutheran Church, secretary of the VFW Golf League and volunteered as an election official. He was an avid fisherman and golfer who also enjoyed traveling, covering all 50 states. Bob also loved spending time with his grandchildren and watching them participate in sports. In addition to his loving wife of 54 years, Phyllis, his survivors include his children, Daniel (Sue) Duchesneau, Robert (Karen) Duchesneau Jr., both of Franklin, Kathleen (James) Kusters, Debra (Dennis) Ello both of Racine; nine grandchildren, Anthony and Heather Duchesneau, Jason, April and Melinda Kusters, Chad and Stephanie Ello, Eric and Rachel Duchesneau; sister, Diane (James) Mitchell of Pell City, AL; step-mother, Grace Duchesneau of Janesville; brothers-in-law, Charles (Leona) Lederman of Monroe and Donald (Joy) Lederman of Janesville. In addition to his parents, his brother, Jerry Duchesneau; brother-in-law, William Daniels; and sister-in-law, Lela Lederman also preceded him in death. Family and friends are invited to meet at Mount Pleasant Lutheran Church, 1700 S. Green Bay Rd., on Friday, November 25, 2005, at 11 a.m. for his funeral service with Rev. Dr. Stephen D. Samuelson officiating. There will be a visitation in the church on Friday from 10 until 11 a.m. Burial at West Lawn Memorial Park will follow the service. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to Mount Pleasant Lutheran Church or to a charity of one's choice.
