DUFRESNE, JEFFREY "JEFF", 63, of Fort Myers, FL passed away unexpectedly, Tuesday, July 12, 2005 at Gulf Coast Hospital, Fort Myers, FL. Jeff was born January 5, 1942 in New Bedford, MA to the late Hervy and Theresa (Morosse) Dufresne. By trade Jeff was an elevator mechanic working out of Union Local #71, Miami, FL. His passion for stock car racing began in his early teen years. For the past 50 years he traveled the Florida Stock Car Circuit racing his favorite #3 Chevrolet with is Dufresne Racing Team. When no longer able to drive himself, he passed the racing mantle to his son who Jeff shared his love of stock car racing. In his spare time he also enjoyed working crossword puzzles. Jeff is survived by his wife Kathleen (Kitchens) Dufresne; his children and their spouses: Heidi Difranco, Aiken, SC; Patricia and William Wallace, Hollywood, FL; John Boyer and Vicki Puchalski, Cape Coral, FL; Jeffrey Dufresne and Sonya Lajoie, Bradenton, FL; five grandchildren: Stephanie, Brad, Ashley, Jessica, Dalton; three brothers and their spouses: Charles and Judy Dufresne, Bradenton, FL; Mark and Beverly Dufresne, Leesburg, FL; Roch and Kathy Dufresne, Sarasota, FL; had his faithful friend Missy. A memorial service to celebrate Jeff's life will be held 2:00 p.m., Friday, July 15, 2005 at the Fort Myers Memorial Gardens Funeral Home, 1589 Colonial Boulevard, Fort Myers, FL 239-936-0555.
