Mr. Paul James Dugas of Jacksonville was born on September 6, 1930 in Lafayette, La. to Armond and Veronique Dugas and went home to be with the Lord on October 9, 2005. He leaves behind his wife of 51 years Mary Ruth Dugas; three sisters, Verna (Andy) Anderson, Winnie (Louis) Begnaud and Beatrice Laundry of Lafayette, La.; a Godson and his wife, James and Valinda Dudley and their daughters Aja and Jordan, Atoka, TN; special nephews and nieces Steve and Debby Speaks and their children Sam and Mary, Troutman, NC; Chris and Janet Leach and their daughters Amanda and Shelby, Jacksonville, FL.; Cindy and Sandra of Lafayette, La.; and a host of beloved nieces, nephews and friends. A twenty-year veteran of the Air Force, Paul worked for twenty-six years with Wachovia Bank of Jacksonville. He attended Terry Parker Baptist Church. The family will receive friends from 5-8 PM on Tuesday evening October 11, at Corey-Kerlin Funeral Home, 940 Cesery Blvd.. Services will be held 11:00am on Wednesday, October 12, at The Chapel of Corey-Kerlin Funeral Home, and will be officiated by the Reverend Howard Godwin and Doctor Joe Courson. With interment in Chapel Hill Memory Gardens.
