DuPuis, Clayton Dale -- Saginaw, Michigan -- Went home to be with the Lord, Friday, November 18, 2005, following a lengthy illness. Age 81 years. The son of the late Clarence E. and Grace (Trickey) DuPuis was born, August 15, 1924, in Highland Park, coming to Saginaw as a young boy. He graduated from Arthur Hill High School, Class of 1942. He was employed by Eaton Mfg. until December of 1942 when he enlisted in the U.S. Army. He served overseas in Guadalcanal until 1946. He returned to Saginaw and married his high school sweetheart, Lois Lange, on June 14, 1946. She survives him. He was employed all of his life as a sheet metal mechanic and was a member of Sheet Metal Local # 7 in Saginaw. He retired in 1986. Clayton was an active member of Bridgeport Community Church for nearly 50 years. He served as a Scoutmaster for Bridgeport Troop #5 while his sons were in scouting. He was an avid fisherman, hunter and camper and devoted husband and father. He was a member of the Bridgeport Masonic Lodge # 258 F. &A.M.; the American Legion Post #439; and the Bridgeport V.F.W. Post # 9931. After retirement, Mr. and Mrs. DuPuis spent their winters in Florida and Gulf Shores, Alabama where they made many friends from other States. Surviving besides his wife are two sons, one daughter and their spouses, Terry and Kyleene DuPuis; Clayton G. DuPuis and his fiancee, Amy; Kathy and Randy Colpean; six grandchildren; four step- grandchildren; four great- grandchildren. A brother, Clarence G. DuPuis predeceased him. The funeral service will take place at 11:00 a.m. Monday, November 21, 2005, at Bridgeport Community Church. Rev. Donald H. Ashmall will officiate with burial in Roselawn Memorial Gardens. Friends may call at the W. L. Case and Co. Funeral Chapel, 5700 Dixie Hwy. from 2:00 to 5:00 p.m. and 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. Sunday where the Bridgeport Lodge # 258 F.&A.M. will conduct a Masonic Memorial service at 7:00 p.m. Sunday. Friends may then call at the church from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the funeral service. Those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider the Bridgeport Community Church.
