Earl Elmer DUROCHER

Earl Elmer DuRocher, Jr. -MACON - Earl Elmer DuRocher, 80, of Willow Creek Drive, died Tuesday, October 4, 2005 in a local nursing home. Funeral services will be held at 1P.M., Friday, October 7, 2005, graveside in Brewton Cemetery in Claxton. Born on February 9, 1925 in Johnson City, New York, Mr. DuRocher was the son of the late Earl Elmer DuRocher, Sr. and Eva Mae Wakeman DuRocher and had lived in Macon for the past forty-five years. He was a veteran of the United States Army during World War II, attaining the rank of Master Sergeant. Mr. DuRocher was a retired sales representative with Parco Office Supplies in Macon and was a member of Bass United Methodist Church. He was preceded in death by a sister, Jean Folette. Mr. DuRocher is survived by his wife, Dorothy Mattox DuRocher of Macon; daughters and sons-in-law, Rhonda and Jimmy Beeland of Watkinsville, Penny Janes of Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, Robin DuRocher of Springfield, Missouri, and Diana and Monte Montgomery of Augusta; sister and brother-in-law, Barbara and Jim Smoot of Avon Park, Florida; and by eight grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. -Bridges Funeral Home in Gray has charge of arrangements.Published in The Telegraph on 10/6/2005.
