Services for Doris Etie Delcambre, 68, will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday at Our Lady Of Perpetual Help Catholic Church with the Rev. Mark Derise officiating. Interment will follow in Holy Family Cemetery.Visiting hours will be observed today from 5 p.m. until 9 p.m. with a rosary being recited at 7 p.m. at Acadian Funeral Home. Visitation will resume Saturday at 9 a.m. until the time of service.A native of Iberia Parish, Mrs. Delcambre died at 12:28 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 29, 2005, at her residence.Mrs. Delcambre was employed by Iberia Parish School Board. She was very active where she served as a den leader for Cub Scouts of Delcambre, and secretary for the boy scouts in Erath. She taught 11th grade conformation class in Delcambre for 16 years. She was elected to serve as president for five terms for Iberia School Food Service Association. She also served as secretary for the past five years. She also served two years as Regional Director of La. School Services and one year as chairman of the scholarship committee. She was a member of American Heart Association. She was always ready to help the community.She is survived by her beloved husband of 51 years, Jeffrey Delcambre Jr.; three children, Mike Delcambre and wife Connie of New Iberia, Karen Derouen and companion Glenn Verret of Bayou Jack, and Chad Delcambre and wife Amy of Youngsville; five grandsons, Scott Guillotte and wife Shirley of Breaux Bridge, Brian Delcambre and wife Emili of New Iberia, Chris Delcambre and companion Tonia Smith of Lafayette, Shane Delcambre and wife Alisha of New Iberia and Derek Derouen of Bayou Jack; two granddaughters, Madelyn and Camille Delcambre of Youngsville; three great-granddaughters, Ashley, Autumn and Andrea Guillotte of Breaux Bridge; a great-grandson, Dyllon Delcambre of New Iberia; two sisters, Betty Boudreaux and Janet Etie; and a brother, Lawrence Etie Jr.Mrs. Delcambre was preceded in death by her parents, Lawrence and Gersie Aucoin Etie.Pallbearers will be Scott Guillotte, Brian, Chris and Shane Delcambre, Derek Derouen, William Hebert.Acadiana Funeral Home of New Iberia is in charge of the arrangements.
