Augustine Franklin FAILLE

HAMILTON -- Augustine Franklin Faille Sr., 84, went to be with the Lord surrounded by his loving family at home Thursday. Born in Greenfield, MA, he resided in the Hamilton area for the past 50 years. Augie was a master mechanic and he was extremely talented in whatever he pursued. He was a highly decorated World War II veteran, and hero who received two Purple Hearts, two Bronze Star medals, a Presidential Unit Emblem, an American Campaign Medal, a European, African and Middle Eastern Campaign Medal with two stars, a Good Conduct Medal, World War II Victory Medal, Combat Infantryman Badge, French Fourracere Medals, a Qualified Paratrooper Medal, and a Sharpshooter Badge. Augie was a member of the DAV Post No. 41 and his hobbies were wood working, fishing and hunting.Son of the late Edward and Evon Reil Faille, brother of the late Leona Yetman, Edward, Joseph, and James Faille and grandfather of the late Rebecca Mallory Faille, he is survived by his loving wife of 60 years, Julia Mary Carter Faille; five daughters and five sons-in-law, Sandra and Joseph Sary Sr. of Yardville, Wendy and William O'Hare Jr. of Bordentown, Evon and Earl Berg of Hamilton, Cindy and Bruce Severs of Hamilton, Renate and John Gribbin Jr. of Columbus; two sons and one daughter-in-law, Augustine "Augie" Faille Jr. of Hamilton, Mark and Karen Faille of Hopewell; 13 grandchildren, Joseph Jr. and his wife Patricia Sary, Daniel Sary, Faith and her husband Charles McGowan, William O'Hare III, Erica, Matthew and Nicole Berg, Melissa Furman and her fiance Duane Buck, Robert Furman III, Dylan and Stacie Faille, Kristin and John III Gribbin; three great-grandchildren, Heather, Joseph and Clayton Sary; one sister and brother-in-law, Joan and John Luczkow of New Hampshire; and many nieces and nephews.Funeral will be held 8:30 a.m. Monday from the Hamilton Brenna-Cellini Funeral Home, 2365 Whitehorse-Mercerville Rd., Hamilton, NJ 08619. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10 a.m. Monday at St. Vincent De Paul Church , Yardville. Burial with military honors will be at St. John's Cemetery, Main St., Allentown. Calling hours will be held from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
