Betty Marie FORET

Betty Marie Foret Petit, a retired paraeducator in the St. Charles Parish School System, died Wednesday, February 23, 2005 at 3:00 am of complications from Alzheimer's disease at Jo Ellen Smith Convalescent Center in New Orleans. She was 75. Mrs. Petit was born in Luling and lived in Hahnville fro 67 years. She was a devout parishioners of Holy Rosary Catholic Church. Survivors include a son, Kevin M. Petit, a daughter, Stacie Petit Falgout, (Coral, Jr.) and two grandchildren, Chad M. Petit (Lauren) and Ashlyn M. Falgout. She was preceded in death by her husband, Leander J. Petit, sisters, Dorothy Mae Foret Danos and Barbara Foret, and parents, Merrill J. Foret and Noutsy Bourgeois Foret. Visitation will be held from 9:00am-11:00am followed by a mass of Christian burial on Friday, February 25, 2005 at Holy Rosary Catholic Church, Hahnville. Interment will be at St. Charles Cemetery, Holy Savior Mausoleum, Luling. Falgout Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. Published in The Times-Picayune on 2/24/2005.
