James Robert Fortier -- 1940 - 2005 -- Jim Fortier, 65, a computer system manager, died of advanced liver cancer Tuesday, Dec. 20, 2005, at his residence.Get-together: 2 to 6 p.m. Friday at the Fortier residence, 3107 Zion Hill Road, Weatherford. Memorials: The Fortier family suggests that, in lieu of flowers, donations be made to the Japanese Gardens at the Fort Worth Botanic Garden, 3220 Botanic Garden Blvd., Fort Worth, Texas 76107.James Robert Fortier, the son of Frank and Muriel Fortier, was born Feb. 19, 1940, in Skowhegan, Maine. Jim and the former Sharon Murphy were married Sept. 30, 1967, and together started their family.Jim was preceded in death by his father, Francis Brett Fortier, and a brother, Jay Fortier.Jim's last wish was to thank all those supporting him during his illness with their prayers and medical assistance, especially the doctors and nurses at Weatherford Texas Cancer Center.
