Lucille L. "Lou" Demers, 68, of Londonderry, died Sunday, Dec. 18, 2005, at home, surrounding by her family, after a lengthy illness. Lou, as she was known, was born in Goffstown on Dec. 28, 1936, a daughter of the late Alphonse and Yvette (Halde) Fortin. She was a resident of Londonderry for the past 16 years and formerly lived in Lawrence, Mass. She was employed as a mill worker for Malden Mills. Lou enjoyed crocheting, camping, spending holidays with her family, and spending time with her grandchildren. She is survived by her husband, Raymond J. Demers of Londonderry; five daughters, Donna, Deb, Lisa, Charlene, and Holeen; two sons, Ray and Konrad; 10 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and three sisters. She was predeceased by her daughter, Gail, and two brothers.ARRANGEMENTS: There are no calling hours. Following cremation, a Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, Dec. 21, 2005, at 10 a.m. in St. Jude Parish, 435 Mammoth Road, Londonderry. The Peabody Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 15 Birch St., Derry, is handling the arrangements. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Lung Association of New Hampshire, 9 Cedarwood Drive, Unit 12, Bedford, NH 03110.
