Wayne Robert FORTIN

FORTIN - Wayne Robert Fortin of Lake Worth, Florida joined Our Lord and Savior on Tuesday, August 2, 2005 after a two-year illness with ALS. Wayne is lovingly remembered by his wife, Donna, who will miss the joy he brought to her life for almost 36 years. He will be sorely missed by daughter, Nicole Cepaitis and son-in-law Brian Cepaitis of Ridgecrest, California. Also surviving are Wayne's much loved brother-in-law, Michael Mobley; sisters-in-law, Judy Mobley, Vicki Young, and Nancy Schmitt; brothers-in-law, Jim Schmitt and John Kneir; special cousins Ron and Jayne Lindblom; 12 nieces and nephews and 18 great-nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his mother and father, Nelle and Forrest Fortin and his brother, Bill Fortin. He lived for a short time in Evansville, Indiana where he was employed by Bristol Myers and met and married his wife, Donna. Most of his life was spent in Grand Rapids, Michigan, where he was owner and President of Lindy Press, Inc. Wayne had an abiding faith in God and inspired those who knew him with his strong character values and work ethic. Wayne had a long and intense interest in boating, and him and his wife formed many close friendships through their boating adventures. Friends and relatives are invited to celebrate Wayne's life Monday, August 8 from 2 until 8 p.m. at Alexander East Chapel, 2115 Lincoln Avenue in Evansville, Indiana 47714. Funeral services will be Tuesday, August 9 at 2p.m., Pastor Mitchell Gielselman of Aldersgate United Methodist Church officiating. Internment will follow at Park Lawn Cemetery.
