SOUTH PORTLAND - Jeannette Jane Fournier, 84, of Scamman Street, died Tuesday, Dec. 6, 2005 at the She was born in Rumford on July 9, 1921, the daughter of J. Emil and Eva Marceau Fournier. She was a graduate of Stevens High School and St. Mary's Hospital School of Nursing. Jane began her career in nursing at St. Mary's Hospital in Lewiston. She then moved to Mercy Hospital where she had a 40 year career. She retired from Mercy Hospital in 1986 as a Chief I.V. Therapist. Jane was a member of the Maine Nurses Association. She was a former member of the Medical Services Credit Union, where she once served as a board member. Jane was a communicant of Holy Cross Church. Surviving is her close friend of more than 50 years, Rita Lambert of South Portland; and several cousins including William Ross and his wife Glee of Freeport, Virginia Ross and Lynn Ross, both of Bangor. Prayers will be recited Monday at 10:15 a.m. at the Conroy-Tully Crawford South Portland Chapel, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at Holy Cross Church at 11 a.m. Burial will follow at New Calvary Cemetery, South Portland.
