Lillian Y. GAGNE

SANFORD-Lillian Y. Roy, 82, of Sanford, died Nov. 24, 2005 at the Goodall Hospital in Sanford after a brief illness. She was born in Sanford on April 18, 1923, a daughter of Theodore and Mary (Cote) Gagne, and attended Holy Family School. She was employed by local shoe shops for 40 years retiring in 1985. She was a communicant of Holy Family Church and a member of the Ladies of St. Anne. A private person who lived quietly, she enjoyed people watching and her beloved cats, Midnight and Fluffy. Survivors include her husband of 59 years, Robert J. Roy of Sanford; a sister, Jacqueline L'Heureux, also of Sanford; and several nieces and nephews. Visiting hours will be held on Sunday from 6-8 p.m., at the Lafrance-Lambert & Black Funeral Home, 29 Winter Street, Sanford. A funeral mass will be celebrated on Monday at 11 a.m., in Holy Family Church. Burial will follow in St. Ignatius Cemetery in Sanford.
