BERLIN, NH--Roland L. “Marlo” Gagne, 78, passed away Monday November 28, 2005 at the Androscoggin Valley Hospital. Born March 26, 1927 in Berlin, son of the late James and Delia (Filteau) Gagne, he was a life long resident.Mr. Gagne was a World War II Veteran of the United States Army, a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars, a life member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles, the Holy Name Society and Local 75.He retired from the James River Company in 1989 having worked as a storekeeper.Mr. Gagne is survived by his wife, Catherine (Dubie) Gagne. They have been married for 57 years.He is also survived by two sons, John R. Gagne and his wife Helen, and Peter J. Gagne and his wife Sherry, both of Berlin; one daughter, Cathy Gagnon and her husband Bob of Harpswell, ME; one sister, Valida Yanta and her husband Vernon of Runge, TX; one sister-in-law, Edna Gagne of Berlin; six grandchildren, Jon and Marci Gagnon, Gene Gagne, Tricia Winn, Ricky Adam and Lynn Bisson; six great-grandchildren, Jolie and Julien Gagnon, Madison Gagne, and Shayla, Jayden and Rhayvin Bission and several nieces and nephews.He was predeceased by two brothers, John and Lionel Gagne, and two sisters, Evelyn Sanford and Vivian Gagne.A Mass of Christian Burial with Military Honors will be celebrated 11 a.m. Thursday, December 1, at the Holy Family Church, 5Church St. Gorham. Callings hours are Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the Fleury-Patry Funeral Home, 72 High St. Berlin. Interment will be in Holy Family Cemetery, Gorham.Memorial contributions may be made to a charity of ones choice.
