LEWISTON - Simonne M. Maheux, 93, formerly of 39 Jenkins St., Lewiston, died Wednesday, June 29, at d'Youville Pavilion, following a long illness.She was born in Lewiston, on May 15, 1912, the daughter of Joseph and Bertha (Goulet) Gagne, and she had been a resident of this community all of her life.She was the widow of Doria Maheux, whom she married on Nov. 10, 1934, and who died on March 1, 1982.She was a parishioner of the Basilica of Saints Peter and Paul.She loved fishing and spending time at her camp in Fayette. She also enjoyed playing cards, shopping and traveling. Most of all, she enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren.She is survived by three sons, Raymond Maheux and his wife, Terry, of Sabattus, Robert Maheux and his wife, Dolores, of Monson, Mass., and Richard Maheux and his wife, Chris, of Southwick, Mass.; seven grandchildren, Michael Maheux and Mona St. John, both of Monson, Mass., Mark Maheux of Hudson, N.C., Laura Beckett of Southampton, Mass., Angelina Viner of Jupiter, Fla., Suzanne Maheux of Holyoke, Mass., and Ginger Maheux of Sabattus; 12 great-grandchildren; one brother, Normand Bilodeau of Auburn; and one sister, Gabrielle Plante of Lewiston.She was predeceased by one grandchild, David Maheux, who died on Aug. 10, 1993; and by one brother, Leo Bilodeau.
