Yvonne M. GAGNE

CHICOPEE – Yvonne M. (Gagne) Landry, 87, of the Aldenville section of Chicopee was Called Safely Home on Christmas Day, Sunday December 25, 2005 to be with her loving husband. She was born in Holyoke on March 14, 1918 a beloved daughter of the late Lionel and Cora (Moreau) Gagne. She graduated from the former Precious Blood High School and moved to Aldenville in 1935. She was last employed by the Dinn Brothers Trophy Company in Holyoke. She previously worked at the former Chicopee Undergarment Company and the Acme Chain Company in Holyoke. She was a communicant of Saint Rose de Lima Church in Aldenville. She was a member of the former Acme Chain Bowling League. Her beloved husband, Joseph W. Landry was Called Home on May 22, 2003. They were married at the former Precious Blood Church in Holyoke and enjoyed 67 years of happiness together. She leaves her loving children, Norman R. Landry and his wife Jeannine and Shirley A. Darsch, all of Chicopee. Her five cherished grandchildren, Sandra Maroney and her husband Keith, Kevin Landry, Linda Colucci, Gary Darsch and his wife Swannie and James Darsch. Her seven cherished great grandchildren, Erin Maroney, Blaize Landry, Jennifer Colucci, Joel Jubinville, Andrew Darsch, Jacob Darsch and Megan Darsch. She also leaves her two dear nephews, Kenneth Landry and Daniel Landry. Her funeral will be held Wednesday morning, December 28, 2005 at 8 a.m. from the St. Pierre – Phaneuf Aldenville Chapels, 13 Dale Street at the junction of Grattan Street in Chicopee followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 9 a.m. in Saint Rose de Lima Church, 600 Grattan Street in Aldenville. Her burial will follow the Mass at Saint Rose Cemetery on Olsen Street in Aldenville. Her family will receive friends at the funeral home in the Rose Chapel on Wednesday morning, December 28, 2005 from 8 a.m. until 8:45 a.m. before the Mass. The parking lot and main entrance are located in the rear of the funeral home off of Lafayette Street. For those who prefer to make a memorial donation, they may be made in her memory to the Saint Joan of Arc-Saint George School Fund, 600 Grattan Street, Chicopee, MA 01020.
