Rousseau, Thelma D. 'Snookie',-- Saginaw, Michigan. Passed away Tuesday, March 15, 2005 at Covenant Medical Center Cooper. Age 85 years. Thelma Dora Gaudreau was born July 8, 1919 to Thelma E. and Henry Gaudreau. Snookie grew up in South Saginaw and graduated in 1937 from Saginaw High School. In 1941 she married her childhood sweetheart, William Rousseau, who survives her. Snookie, like her father, was a staunch Democrat. She served as an election board worker for 60 years, often as chairman. She loved to bake, cook, sew, quilt and spend time with her family. She was a supportive and loving wife, mother, grandmother and aunt. Her silly sense of humor and feisty spirit were with her always. She is survived by her husband, William and children, Robert (Sally) Rousseau, Linwood; William Rousseau Jr., Thomas (Ginny) Rousseau, Michelle Dubrulle (Bob Roenicke), all of Saginaw; her brother, Colonel Henry J. (Eva) Gaudreau, USAF and her closest friend and confident, Charlotte Gaudreau; her grandchildren, Cheryl Robb, Jeanette Rousseau, Cindy Cherry, Mike, Bill III and Joe Rousseau, Hannah Rousseau, Bryce and Kelsey Dubrulle (and their father, Mark); eight great-grandchildren and a special niece, Saundra K. McDonald. She is also survived by her loyal companion, Buffy. She was predeceased by her parents, her sister, Lauretta Johnson, daughter-in-law, Suzanne Rousseau and granddaughter, Jodi DuMont. Thelma's family wishes to thank the staff of the Saginaw Geriatrics Home. Funeral service will take place 11:00 a.m. Friday, March 18, 2005 at St. Helen Catholic Church. Burial will take place in Roselawn Memorial Gardens. Friends may call at the McIntyre Funeral Chapel, 500 N.
