Roland M. Gauthier, of Albion, died Wednesday, November 30, 2005 in the Philip Hulitar Inpatient Center, Providence. Born August 23, 1934 in Manville, he was the son of the late Narcisse F. & Delores (Rouette) Gauthier. Roland lived in Manville for forty years before making his home in Albion. He had worked as a salesperson at Bellingham Electric, Bellingham, MA for eight years before retiring in October 2005 due to illness. He served in the Navy during the Korean Conflict. He was the Past Commander of the Alphonse Yell American Legion Post #9 in Manville & Past Commander of North Lincoln Volunteer Ambulance Corps. He is survived by his Companion; Mario Correia of East Providence, two sons; Marc Gauthier of Albion & Eugene Gauthier of Manville, two daughters; Denise Lambert of Providence & Jacqueline Smith of West Warwick, and a foster son; David Reed of Franklin, MA., and ten grandchildren. A Funeral Mass of will be celebrated on Monday December 5, 2005 at 10:00am in St. Joan of Arc Church, Mendon Rd., Cumberland. Inurnment will follow in St James Cemetery, Old River Road, Manville. In lieu of Flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Home & Hospice Care of RI, 169 George St., Pawtucket, RI 02860-9924. Calling hours are omitted. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the Holt Funeral Home, 510 South Main Street, Woonsocket.
