FORESTDALE - Lorin C. ''Geoff'' Geoffrion, 80, died Saturday at Harborside Health Care in Mashpee. He was the life partner of Carol J. Saunders for 31 years. Mr. Geoffrion was born in Feeding Hills and lived in Springfield where he graduated from Technical High School. A World War II veteran, he served in the 15th Army Air Forces, 459th Bomb Group, stationed in Foggia, Italy, and Bizerte, Tunis and Casablanca in North Africa, and was an airplane and engine mechanic on the B-24 Liberator bomber. After the war he returned to Springfield, raced stock cars and learned to fly. He moved to Bass River from West Springfield in 1960 and became a builder, constructing homes in the Mid-Cape area. He was commander of VFW Post 8074, Harwich, in 1968-69. He was a resident of Forestdale for 18 years. Besides his partner, survivors include two sons, Lorin C. of Branscomb, Calif., and John P. of San Diego; six daughters, Maryjane of Harwich; Jeannine of Sandwich and Suzanne Geoffrion of Cotuit; Denise Devlin of Marstons Mills; Joann O'Niell of Sandwich and Michelle Keating of Marstons Mills; four grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. Visitation is 3 to 7 p.m., tomorrow at John-Lawrence Funeral Home, 3778 Falmouth Road (Route 28), Marstons Mills. A service will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Burial is in Massachusetts National Cemetery, Bourne.
