WILLIAM ELROY GIRARD Age 81, of Las Vegas, passed away Thursday, September 22, 2005. He was born February 9, 1924 in Alpena, Michigan. William lived 50 years in Burbank, California, and 10 years in Las Vegas. He was the owner/operator of Rainbow Feather Dyeing company for 40 years and served in the United States Navy during WWII. William is survived by his loving wife of 53 years, Frances Girard; sons, James (Darlene) Girard of Sunland, California, and William C. Girard of Burbank, California; daughters, Janice (Dan) Stanley of Sunland, California, Jodi (James) Favazzo, and Antoinette (Tim) Smith, all of Las Vegas; brothers, Walter, Ray, Gerald and Allen Girard; sisters, Virginia Taber and Wilma Ford; grand daughters, Marissa, Tammy and Sarah; grandsons, Danny, Tommy, Jason, Matthew, Jimmy, Jeffrey and Justin; and ten great grandchildren. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather and he will be greatly missed by his family and friends. Funeral Services will be held today, Tuesday, September 27, 2005, 11:00 a.m., at Mission Hills Catholic Mortuary. Donations may be made to the Mesothelioma Applied Research Foundation (805) 560-8942.
