Philippe M. GIROUARD

LITTLETON -- Philippe M. Girouard, 83, of Littleton, died unexpectedly of a short illness on Friday, Feb. 25, 2005 at Littleton Regional Hospital.He was born a son of Amedee and Anna (Boulet) Girouard on March 6, 1921 in St. Malo, P.Q., Canada.Philippe was a lumberjack prior to being a supervisor for the HenshelÕs Shoe Company from 1965 to 1983.He was a member of the Littleton Elks Club as well as a parishioner of St. Rose of Lima Church since 1958.The family includes three sons, Gilles Girouard and his wife Gail of Littleton, Guy Girouard and his wife Pauline of Hudson and Claude Girouard and his wife Jeannette of Nashua; one daughter, Diane Richey and her husband Ed of Whitefield; 11 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; two sisters, Cecile Maclure and Maryjane Marion; and four brothers, Arsen Girouard, Raymond Girouard, Albini Girouard and Rene Girouard. His wife, Rita Girouard, his son, Yvon Girouard, one sister and one brother died previously.The family received friends on Monday, Feb. 28 at the Pillsbury Funeral Home in Littleton. A Mass of Christian burial was celebrated at St. Rose of Lima church on Tuesday, March 1, with the Rev. John Fleming, celebrant.
