Wilfred Godbout Jr., 75, died Saturday, Dec. 3, 2005, in Inter-Faith Care Center in Carlton. He was born July 5, 1930 in Carlton to Wilfred and Martha Godbout. Wilfred was in the Army and served his country during the Korean War. He married Laverna Fall on July 26, 1955. He enjoyed hunting and fishing. He had a green thumb and for a time had his own business named 'Julie's Greenhouse.' Wilfred was preceded in death by his parents, Wilfred Sr and Martha Godbout. A brother John Godbout and a sister Lucille Sweet. He is survived by his wife, Laverna; a son Mike; and three daughters, Julie (Charles) Hobbs, Nancy (Harold) Jobe and Carol (David) Jobe. He is also survived by several grandchildren Ross Swenson, Sherry Swenson, Jerry Davis, Aaron Davis, Anthony Jobe, Nicholas Jobe, Nathan Jobe, Melissa Jobe, Haley Godbout, Morgan Godbout and Luke Jobe; three great-grandchildren Kyle Swenson, Katrina Mortensen and Jessie Mortensen; two brothers, Russell (Darlene) Godbout and Kenneth (Mary) Godbout and several nieces and nephews and many friends. Our dad will be remembered for feeding the squirrels, his generosity, his sense of humor and his wonderful ways. We will miss him. A Celebration of Life Memorial service will be held at a later date.
