Grandmaison Jr., Eugene A. 'Blue' -- Bentley, Michigan -- Mr. Grandmaison, 52 years, passed away Saturday evening, October 22, 2005 at his sister Deb's home with his family at his side after a courageous battle with cancer that he was "Going To Beat". Eugene was born in Bay County February 11, 1953 to the late Eugene A. Sr. & Irma (Raymond) Grandmaison and lived here all his life. He has gone to join his parents and finally get his log house built in Heaven. He was employed by Dow Brands-S.C. Johnson for 24 years. He was a member of the Michigan United Conservation Club and The National Rifle Association. He enjoyed hunting, especially deer and turkey and looked forward to having coffee with his buddies everyday at Sportsman's Bar in Pinconning. He is survived by two sisters and two brothers: Janet (Calvin) Day, Thomas (Carolyn) Grandmaison, Debra (Allan) Rybkowski, and Randy (Pamela) Grandmaison; 2 nieces, 6 nephews, 1 step-niece, and 1 step-nephew; aunt, Margaret Guoan; special friends, Darl Schmidt, Norm Schoultes, Deb Julian and Rodney & Donna McFarland. Eugene was preceded in death by his grandparents, Eugene & Marie (Tardiff) Grandmaison and James & Lucy (Biskner) Raymond. Funeral services will be held Thursday, October 27, 2005 at 11 a.m. from Rivertown Funeral Chapel with Pastor Dan Warren presiding with burial in Gibson Township Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral chapel on Wednesday from 2 to 9 p.m. and Thursday 10 a.m. until time of services. Those considering an expression of sympathy are asked to consider the American Cancer Society, Michigan United Conservation Clubs Youth Camp Fund or Bay Area Visiting Nurses & Hospice.
