Roger E. GRAVEL

Roger E. Gravel 1931 - 2005 -- A native of Holyoke, Massachusetts and 37 yr. resident of San Jose, CA, Roger entered into rest on Dec. 9, 2005 at the age of 74 with his family at his side. Roger will be deeply missed by his wife of 50 yrs. Cozette, son Michael and his wife Janeil, son David and his wife Jeri, step-sister Eileen Lacroix, and grandchildren Deanna, Katherine, Jillian, and Meghan. Roger served in the Air Force, where he worked as a radar specialist on an early-warning radar base in the middle of the Bering Strait during the Cold War. After leaving the Air Force, Roger married the love of his life, Cozette, and started a family. He earned his AA degree in Electronics. In 1968, Roger moved to California to join the high-tech industry. He began as a tech writer and worked his way up to Manager of Document Control. He worked for several companies, including American Microsystems, Logitech, and Western Digital. Roger was a dedicated family man and had a dynamic, entertaining personality. His wicked sense of humor was well-known and was loved by everyone who knew him. He was an avid sports fan and never lost his allegiance to the New York Giants or the Boston Red Sox. He was truly unique and his absence will be deeply felt by all. A Memorial Mass will be held on Dec. 20, 2005 at 10:00 a.m. at Holy Family Catholic Church, 4848 Pearl Ave., San Jose, CA. Inurnment will be private.
