Robert (Bob) Gravelle, age 74, of Grand Rapids, formerly of Greenville, passed away December 11, 2005. He was born on April 23, 1931, in Greenville to the late Robert E. and Pauline (Cornell) Gravelle. He grew up in Greenville and graduated from Greenville High School. He received a Bachelor's Degree in Education from Central Michigan University and his Master's Degree from the University of Michigan. Bob held many positions in the field of education including Superintendent of Schools for Gladwin and Dean of Academics for Montcalm Community College. After many fulfilling years in education, Bob semi-retired and began a career in real estate in Greenville. In 2002, Bob moved to Clark Retirement Community in Grand Rapids where he made many wonderful friends and received excellent care. Bob was a Mason, enjoyed fishing, and was a member of St. Paul's Episcopal Church in Greenville. Bob is survived by his daughters, Rebecca (Mark) Davis and Elizabeth (Roy) Cole; his three grandchildren, Brittany Davis and Brady and Connor Cole, and his sister, Judy (Bruce) Martin. A memorial service will be held at St. Paul's Episcopal Church in Greenville on Wednesday, December 28, at 11 a.m. In lieu of flowers, Memorial Contributions may be made to Clark Retirement Community or the American Lung Association of Michigan.
