DRACUT -- Roger W. Grenon, a resident of Dracut, who worked for the Water Department in town and was a Korean War veteran, died Tuesday, Dec. 20, at Lowell General Hospital. He was 68.He was born in Lowell, June 17, 1937, son of the late John A. and Emily (Noval) Grenon. He received his education in Dracut schools.An honorably discharged veteran, Mr. Grenon served his country with the Military Police in the Air Force during the Korean War.Mr. Grenon was employed for many years by the Dracut Water Department.He was an avid cribbage player and enjoyed ice fishing and watching sports, especially the Boston Red Sox and the New England Patriots.He is survived by three sons and a daughter-in-law, Roger W. Grenon Jr. of Dracut, John P. and Tina Grenon of Tyngsboro, and Donald M. Grenon, also of Dracut; a daughter, Pamela A. Grenon of Derry, N.H.; five grandchildren, Jacqueline Grenon and Margaret Grenon of Nashua, Magan Grenon of Tyngsboro, Amanda Grenon and Bianca Grenon of Derry, N.H.; a sister, Lorraine G. Schmid of Nashua; a close friend, Joyce Powers of Lowell; and several nieces and nephews.He was also the brother of the late Albert Grenon and Gerald Grenon.
