Joseph Leo Guay, 70 passed away on August 23, 2005 in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida, on August 23, 2005. He was born in Berlin and resided on Lancaster Street. He attended Angel Guardian School and Notre Dame High School, graduating in 1954. Mr. Guay worked at Brown Company until 1961 when he moved to East Hartford, CT, accepting a position at Pratt Whitney until 1971, then he was transferred by the company to Florida. He worked for thirty-six years until his retirement in 1997. He was a devoted husband and father who enjoyed his grandchildren. He also enjoyed traveling and fishing. He is survived by his loving wife of forty-nine years, Evelyn; his son, Paul Guay and, wife Heidi, daughter Diane Clodfelter and husband Steve, all of Palm Beach Gardens, Florida; four grandchildren, Mandy Clodfelter of Myrtle Beach, South Caroline; Chris Clodfelter and Hayley and William Guay of Palm Beach Gardens, Florida; brothers, Robert Guay and wife Rita of Palm Beach Gardens, Florida, Lawrence Guay and wife Yolande of Gorham, and Ernest Guay of East Port, Maine; several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents, Ernest and Florida Guay. Services were held in Florida on August 26. Final resting place will be at Mt. Calvary Cemetery. Services will be held at a time to be determined later.
