GUIBERT, Armand G. - October 13, 1920 - December 9, 2005 In Loving Memory Born in San Francisco to French immigrants, Armand attended Sacred Heart High School (1941) and U.C. Berkeley, where he was awarded a B.S. degree in chemistry (1945) and a M.S. degree in mechanical engineering (1951). He married Frances Marchionni in 1946 and raised three children in Orinda, where he resided for over 50 years. Armand died peacefully at Aegis of Moraga, where he and Fran lived for the past three and a half years. Armand worked for Smith Corona Marchant, Oakland, as an engineer and patent agent. He loved the outdoors and was active with the Boy Scouts. He also enjoyed music and was a member of the St. Monica's parish choir for many years. Armand is survived by his wife, Frances; daughter, Judy (George) Marquis of Orinda; son, Gerry (Wanda) Guibert of San Juan Bautista; daughter, Jackie (Art) Cimento of San Francisco; sister, Yvonne Barros of San Leandro; 10 grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his brother Robert. Vigil: Friday, Dec. 16, 7:00 p.m. at Hull's Walnut Creek Chapel, 1139 Saranap Ave. Walnut Creek. Funeral Mass: Saturday, Dec. 17, 10:30 a.m. at St. Monica's Catholic Church, 1001 Camino Pablo, Moraga. In lieu of flowers, the family will appreciate donations to the Alzheimer's Association, 2065 W. El Camino Real, Ste C, Mountain View, CA 94040.
