Yvette "Blackie" Simone Marie Clapp (née Dufour) June 27, 1932 - November 24, 2004 Funeral arrangements by Jenkens Funeral Home Cremation and Reception Centre It is with great sorrow that we announce the passing of Mrs. Yvette (Blackie) Clapp on November 24, 2004 at Thunder Bay Regional Health Sciences Centre after a short illness. She moved to Fort William in 1955 and married John Kenneth Clapp on August 5, 1955. Together they ran the farm and the store in Blake Township, better known as Clapp's Corner. Mom's greatest passions were spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren, knitting, crocheting and drawing. Blackie is survived by her children Ronald (Kathy) of Fort Frances, Donald (Brenda Rose) of Thunder Bay, Kenneth Jr. (Brenda Ellen) of Cloud Bay, Judy Mitchell (Gordie) of South Gillies and Karen Randle (Tim Glaeser) of Thunder Bay, grandchildren Tammy, Christopher, John, Danny, Michael, Tyler, Sarah, Charles, Joseph and Aislyn, great grandchildren Dalton and Gavin as well as many other relatives. She was predeceased by her husband Ken in 1992, and grandson Russell in 1998. Visitation for family and friends will be held on Friday, November 26, 2004 from 7:00 - 9:00 p.m. at Jenkens Funeral Home, 226 S. Syndicate Avenue. Funeral services for Mrs. Yvette (Blackie) Clapp will be held on Saturday, November 27, 2004 at 10:00 a.m. in the chapel of Jenkens Funeral Home. Interment will take place in Mountain View Cemetery.
