CROWLEY -Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, May 13, 2005, at Saint Michael Catholic Church for Dorothy Hebert Helo, 76, who passed away quietly at 12:30 a.m. Wednesday, May 11, 2005, at Lafayette General Medical Center.The Rev. Gary Schexnayder will be officiating at the Mass of Christian Burial.Mrs. Helo was a native of Kaplan, La. She was the wife of Crowley native Kermit G. Helo Sr., her husband of 55 years.Mrs. Helo is survived by her husband, Kermit; one brother, Jimmy Hebert, of Lafayette; three sisters, Florence Kite, of Kaplan, Patricia Comeaux, of Broussard, and Gayle Delcambre, of New Iberia; two daughters, Freida Helo Alleman and her husband, Donald, and Janet Helo Stelly and her husband, Stephen; four sons, Kermit Helo Jr. and his wife, Donna, Robert Helo and his wife, Patty, Ronald Helo and his wife, Monica, and Thomas Helo and his wife, Connie, all of Crowley. Mrs. Helo was the grandmother of 14 grandchildren, Jim Moody, of Ala., Dr. Kermit Helo III, of Miss., Kelli Richard and her husband, Ronnie, Kyle Helo, Shannon Alleman, Lynn Helo Abshire and her husband, Seth, Konstance Helo, Erin Schexnayder, Stuart Helo, Donnie Alleman, Sarah Stelly, Karl Helo, Amy Helo and Jude Stelly; and one great-granddaughter, Harli Richard.Mrs. Helo was preceded in death by her mother, Rose Faulk Hebert; her father, O.G. Hebert; and three sisters, Juanita Scelfo, of Franklin, Rita Moreland, of Abbeville, and her twin sister, Doris Guidry, of Delcambre.Visitation will be observed from 10 a.m. until 10 p.m. today and will continue from 8 a.m. Friday until time of services.A rosary will be prayed time pending this evening.Arrangements have been entrusted to Geesey-Ferguson Funeral Home, 301 N.
