Rita HOGG

Rita Hogg Chartrand, 71, of Paradise Valley, AZ died of cancer on December 17, 2005. She was born in Chicago, IL on February 28, 1934 to Reuben and Mary Hogg. Rita married Allan Chartrand, a widower with a 3 year old daughter, Sharon, in 1963. They moved to Phoenix in 1968 owning and operating Swan Cleaners and Laundry until retiring in 2000 after 32 years in business. During those years Rita and Allan both earned a private pilot's license and owned a Piper Cherokee 180. At 50 years of age, Rita returned to college and earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree at A.S.U. majoring in ceramics. She leaves behind her husband, Allan; daughter, Sharon Bucek; son-in-law, Michael Bucek; and grandchildren, Tyler, Alana and Rachel Bucek of Scottsdale, AZ. She is also survived by her sister, Doris Bradshaw of California. Rita's brother, Joseph P. Hogg died in 2003. No services will be held. Donations may be made to Hospice of the Valley, 1510 E.
