Joellen "Jo" Johns POITRAS Joellen died unexpectedly on Dec. 18th after a brief illness. She was born on 6-8-60 in Seattle, grew up there attending local schools. After high school, she married Mark Poitras, her husband of 27 years. They lived in Seattle a number of years before relocating to Granite Falls, WA. She is survived by her husband Mark, son Corey, daughter Andrea, mother Roberta Johns, brother Michael Johns, sisters Mary Johns Ottesen, Jenna Johns, Jaime Johns, father Robert D. Johns, step-mother Donna Johns, and numerous in-laws, nieces, and nephews. In addition she leaves her beloved pets Bear and CoCo (doggies) and Chrissie, Simon, and Boo Kitty (kitties). Jo made many friends in her community. She was recently employed at a gift and flower shop in Granite Falls where her employer, Mary Overholser, considered her a "jewel". What do you say when someone is taken from you in "mid-stride" as it were? The sun comes up again but there is a shadow on it. Goodbye, my darling Jo. I won't get up any morning without missing you, but I know you'll be at my elbow. A Celebration of Jo's Life will be held on Wednesday, Dec. 28, 2005 at 2:00 p.m. at the Chapel of Purdy & Walters at Floral Hills, 409 Filbert Rd., Lynnwood, 425-672-1800.
