LAFAYETTE - Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 26, 2005, at a Mass of Christian Burial in La Chapelle de Martin & Castille for Eunice J. Boutin, 95, who died at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Feb. 22, 2005, at her grandson's residence in Lafayette.Interment will be in the Calvary Cemetery.The Rev. John deLeeuw will be the celebrant of the funeral Mass and will conduct the services.Helen Boudreaux, guitarist, will sing for the services, "Amazing Grace", "Ave Maria", "The Lord's Prayer" and "Hail Mary, Gentle Woman".A native of St. Martin Parish and a resident of Lafayette for most of her life, Mrs. Boutin was a member of the St. Genevieve Ladies Altar Society and the St. Genevieve Catholic Daughters of America.Survivors include four daughters, Patsy Boutin Savoie, Ruby Boutin Mallet, Annie Lee Boutin Young and her husband, Ralph, and Rose Boutin Decoux, all of Lafayette; one son, Whitney Lee Boutin and his wife, Mary, of Oklahoma City, Okla.; 13 grandchildren, Van Vanicor, Vickie Vanicor Thibodeaux, Dean Mallet, Joey Boutin, John Randy Boutin, Lori Boutin Ceremi, Ralph Raney Young Jr., Liz Young, Joan Young, Raymond Decoux, Nona Powers, Whitney Lee Boutin Jr., and Lizette Boutin; and 28 great-grandchildren.She was preceded in death by her husband, Whitney Joseph Boutin; two sons, Nolan and Joseph Boutin; her parents, John and Elise Laparouse Johnson; and three sisters, Lena Boudreaux, Alice Berard and Leedee Boudreaux.The family requests that visiting hours be observed from 1 p.m. until 9 p.m. Friday and will continue from 9 a.m. Saturday until time of services.A rosary will be recited Friday evening.Pallbearers will be Van Vanicor, Terry Thibodeaux, Dean Mallet, Joey Boutin, Jared Boutin and Ralph Young.Honorary pallbearers will be Stan Andrews, John Randy Boutin, Raney Young, Tommy Vascuco, Raymond Decoux, Nicholas Vascuco, Whitney Young and Whitney Lee Boutin.Arrangements have been entrusted to Martin & Castille Funeral Home Inc. of Lafayette, (337) 234-2311.
