Benoit “Benny” J. Joyal, 80, of Highland St., Hudson, died Sunday, March 27, 2005 at his residence surrounded by his loving family. He was born August 26, 1924 in Lowell, MA, son of the late Donat and Florida (Pellerin) Joyal. He was the husband of the late Rita (Boisvert) Joyal, who died in February of 1995. Mr. Joyal worked at Greenridge Turkey Farm Restaurant in Nashua for 20 years. After retiring form Greenridge, he and his wife Rita co-founded a catering business, Benny’s Catering. He was very devoted to their business and retired after 35 years of work. He was a WWII Army Veteran and a member of the American Legion Hudson Post 48, as well as a parishioner of St. John the Evangelist Church in Hudson. Mr. Joyal loved spending time with his family and enjoyed taking trips to Atlantic City with them. Survivors include one son, Rene Joyal of Hudson, One daughter and a son in law, Susan and William Zelonis of Hudson. A brother, Aurelien “Joe” Joyal of Dracut, MA. Four grandchildren, Erica Petralia of Hillsborough, NH, Peter Zelonis of Ascutney, VT, Christine Floyd and Bryan Joyal, both of Hudson. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Wednesday at 10am in St. John the Evangelist Church in Hudson. All are invited and may meet at the Dumont-Sullivan Funeral Home, 50 Ferry St., Hudson at 9:15am. Viewing Hours will be on Tuesday from 2-4 and 7-9pm. Burial will be in St. Patrick Cemetery, Hudson.
