Joan JUPPE

Joan (Juppe) Daigle, age 74, of Jacksonville, Fla., died Wednesday, November 30, 2005, at Community Hospice in Florida. She was the wife of Roger Daigle Sr. Mrs. Daigle was born August 17, 1931, in Boston, the daughter of John and Maybelle Juppe. She worked at Derby High School before retiring to Florida. Besides her husband, Mrs. Daigle is survived by three sons, Roger Daigle Jr. of Shelton, Michael Daigle of Naugatuck and Raymond Daigle of Jacksonville, Fla.; two daughters, Teri Barrow of Sanford, Maine and Margaret Eldridge of Naugatuck; two brothers, John and Jim Juppe; three sisters, Mary Ann Taraskiewicz, Terri Juppe and Kathy Christopher; eight grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. A Memorial Service was held at Hardage Giddens Funeral Home in Jacksonville, Fla. In lieu of flowers, friends are asked to make donations in Joan's name to Community Hospice, 4266 Sunbeam Road Jacksonville, FL 32216. The Alderson Funeral Home of Naugatuck, 201 Meadow Street, is in charge of local arrangements. Published in the Connecticut Post on 12/7/2005.
