LA BARRE, Shawn G. --- Kalamazoo, MI -- Shawn Gregory La Barre, June 21, 1978 - July 20, 2005. Shawn passed away unexpectedly July 20, 2005. Shawn leaves to cherish his precious memory his wife, Brandy La Barre; his parents, Alicia (Harold) Adkins, Donald (Ruby) Walker Barbee; his only child, Carnel Washington; grandparents, Bernard (Ernestine) Frazier and Helen (Frank) Brooks; special brother, Arnell La Barre; and special friend, Damien Dunigan; 4 brothers and 3 sisters and a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. Shawn was preceded in death by Mr. Arnold John La Barre and Mr. Joe Effrice Barbee. A Family Hour will begin at 12:00 Noon on Saturday at Cornerstone Pentecostal Church, 1809 Romence Road, Portage, MI, with a funeral service at 1:00 p.m. with Pastor Rodney E. Clark officiating.
