Rowena LABOMBARD

COLONIE, NY -- Rowena Chludzinski, 87, of Colonie, died Thursday, December 22, 2005 at home. Mrs. Chludzinski was born on August 6, 1918 in West Chazy, N.Y. and was raised on Isle LaMotte, Vt., one of the Champlain Islands and site of St. Anne's Shrine. She was the daughter of the late Winnie and Irene (Ducharme) LaBombard. She worked as a registered nurse at Albany Medical Center Hospital and then was a stay-at-home mom, taking care of any and all family members and friends in need. She was a communicant of Our Lady of Mercy Church. Mrs. Chludzinski is the proud mother of Mary (Micki) McGrath (Jack) of Cohasset, Mass., Matthew Chludzinski (Cathy) of Poway, Calif. and Bernice Doring (Thomas) of Colonie; sister of Ellsworth, Eleanor and Llewellyn; beloved grandmother of Kenneth McGrath, Jessica, Katrina and Thomas Chludzinski, Thomas, Amie, Erin, Kelsy and Caitlin Doring; great-grandmother of Laurel McGrath and Ryan Doring; also survived by several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, Matthew Chludzinski. Funeral Tuesday morning at 11:15 at New Comer-Cannon Family Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Road, Colonie (Rt. 155 - south of Central Ave.) then to Our Lady of Mercy Church at 12 noon where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated. Calling hours will be on Monday from 4 to 7 p.m. at the funeral home. Interment, Memory's Garden, Colonie.
