EGAN - A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 3 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 18, 2005, in Saint Michael's Chapel in Egan, La. for Floyd L. LaCombe, 73, who died at 1:30 a.m. Friday, Dec. 16, 2005, at his residence in Egan, La.The Rev. David Broussard will celebrate the Mass and the graveside services at Saint Joseph Mausoleum in Iota. The American Legion Post 15 will have a service at 5:30 p.m. today and the rosary will be prayed at 7 p.m. Mr. LaCombe was born March 1, 1932 in Iota, La. to the late Philibert and Ovenia Latiolais LaCombe. He married Catherine Regan June 10, 1956. He was a lifelong resident of Egan, a member of St. Michael's Chapel; he was a founder of the Egan Knights of Columbus 6959 and served as the first Grand Knight, a veteran of the U.S. Air Force and served his country during the Korean War, a member of the American Legion Post 15 in Crowley, a member of the Iron Workers Local 678 and the Rice City Senior Citizens.He is survived by his wife, Catherine Regan LaCombe, of Egan; one daughter, Cindy LaCombe Cobb and her husband, Darrell, of Scott, La.; two sons, Michael LaCombe, of Egan, La., and Douglas LaCombe and his wife, Wanda Miller, of Egan, La.; six grandchildren, Jeremy, Megan and Courtney Cobb, Easton and Patrice LaCombe and Aaron Michael LaCombe; and one brother, Lloyd LaCombe, of Jennings, La.He was preceded in death by his parents; one sister, Lilia Dyson; and two brothers, Easton Joseph LaCombe and Steve LaCombe.Visitation will be observed from 10 a.m. until 10 p.m. today and will continue from 8 a.m. Sunday until time of services.Geesey-Ferguson Funeral Home of Crowley, www.geesey-ferguson.com, has been entrusted with the arrangements. www.geesey-ferguson.com
