Louis LACOSTE

Lacoste, Louis "Lou" Jr. October 10, 1948 - June 24, 2005 -- Louis Lacoste Jr., 56 of Lake View Terrace died Friday at his home. Mr. Lacoste was a native of Modesto, California, and lived in Lake View Terrace, California for many years. He previously lived in both Sacramento and Modesto. Louis was a world traveler! He was an Air Force Veteran, serving in both Alaska and Hawaii. Lou was honorably discharged September 28, 1969. He was a member of American Legion Post 74. Mr. Lacoste became "Number One Southern California Disc Jockey" and remained number one each year until he retired. According to Billboard Magazine, Louis was recorded as a "Right-on-the money" chooser of winner and losers of new disco-type music. Lou's numerous awards included a "Gold Record" he mixed! He is survived by his mother, Bonnie Fair; father, Louis Lacoste Sr.; sister, Dolly McGrath; brother, Richard LaCoste, and sister, Tommie Stedman, all of Modesto. A memorial service will be at Trinity United Presbyterian Church in Modesto, 1600 Carver Road at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, July 16, 2005. Services will conclude at the church.
