Melissa L. LACROIX

FALL RIVER -- Melissa L. (Lacroix) Oliveira, 31, of Assonet, died Saturday, Dec. 17, 2005, at Charlton Memorial Hospital. She was the wife of Alfonso "Al" Oliveira. Born in Fall River, she was the daughter of Keith Lacroix of Fall River and the late Joyce Fournier Heywood-Cordeiro. She was the stepdaughter of William "Billy" Cordeiro of Fall River. Mrs. Oliveira, a licensed practical nurse, worked for Somerset Ridge Center, and previously working for Crawford Skilled Nursing & Rehabilitative Center. She also worked as a temporary LPN for a local agency. Mrs. Oliveira was a parishioner of St. Bernard Parish. Survivors include her husband; her father; her stepfather; two daughters, Cassidy Oliveira and Taylor Oliveira, both of Assonet; a stepson, Bruce J. Oliveira of Assonet; a maternal grandmother, Anita Purcell of Fall River; and several nieces and nephews. She was the maternal granddaughter of the late Arthur Fournier.
