EARP, R. Willard (Bill), Formerly of Tillsonburg, passed away peacefully at Linhaven Home in his 88th year, on Nov. 25, 2004. Beloved brother of Elizabeth Foote, St. Catharines and brother-in-law of Doris Earp (Fla.). Loving uncle of Melba Wolf, St. Catharines, Brenda (John) Jones, Thornhill, Larry (Karen), Dianne (Dale) Miller and Carol (Steve) Plice, all of Fla., USA. Also survived by great-nieces Linda, Michele, Connie and Lisa, great-nephew Graham and families in Canada and many more in USA . Predeceased by father Julius Carr (1964), mother Bessie Sybil (1948, sister Christine Magee (1991), Tillsonburg, brother Woodrow (1996), Fla., brothers-in-law Len Magee (1975) and Cecil Foote (1981) and nephew Martin Wolf (1999). Mr. Earp was born legally blind Dec. 22, 1916 in Lynchburg Co., Va. and came to Canada in 1930 from Georgia. During his life he worked hard on the farm in tobacco, the coal yard and the lumber saw mill. For his volunteer work at schools and plays in the region he rece ived many commendations. He attended the Queen St. Baptist Church. Bill was well known in the Tillsonburg area, living there for many years. In the sixties, he moved to St. Catharines living first at the CNIB on Queenston St. When it closed, he moved to John and Mary's which later became Paton Place. After breaking his ankle last Dec., he moved to Linhaven Home. Funeral service was conducted at OSTRANDER'S FUNERAL HOME by Rev. Bryan Butcher of the First Baptist Church on Nov. 27 at 1 p.m. with i nterment at the Tillsonburg Cemetery. He was buried beside his father. The family would like to thank the staff on Secord, especially Donna, Mary Ann, Denise and Flor for their exceptional care of Uncle Bill.
