LOWELL -- Donat Lampron, 84, a former Lowell resident who worked for the city and was a World War II veteran, died peacefully Sunday, Dec. 25. He was the husband of Rose (Kokoliadis) Lampron, who died Feb. 12, 2002.He was born in Lowell, March 3, 1921, was raised in Canada and moved to upstate New York in 1941. He served in the Army during World War II, and in June 1948 he married Rose and they enjoyed a loving marriage for nearly 54 years.Before retiring in 1989, Mr. Lampron worked for the city of Lowell. He enjoyed fishing and gardening and loved to play music. He held membership in the VFW.Mr. Lampron is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, Daniel and Joyce Lampron of North Attleboro, and Richard and Kathryn Lampron of Shoreham, Vt.; two grandchildren, Christopher and Meghan Lampron, both of North Attleboro; three sisters, Therese Lampron of Canada, Jeannot Monahan of Brockton, and Paulette Lampron, of Canada; a brother, Joques Lampron, of Canada; two sisters-in-law, Gertrude (Fontaine) (Proulx) Lampron of Dracut, and Doris (Adams) Lampron of Pelham; several nieces and nephews. He was also the brother of the late Joseph, Eugene, Cecile, Rita, Jean and Adelard Lampron. Published in the Lowell Sun on 12/27/2005.
