WESTBROOK - Edgar M. Landry, 83, of New Gorham Road, died Thursday, Dec. 22, 2005. A life-long resident of Westbrook, he was born here, the son of Joseph and Eva Pinette Landry. Edgar worked at the S.D. Warren Paper Co. for 42 years before retiring. Edgar served in the U.S. Army under General Patten during World War II. He was a member of the American Legion, Post #62, a charter member of the Civilian conservation Corps, and a fourth degree and past commander of the Knights of Columbus. He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Madelyn Parker Landry; four sons, Raymond of Orlando, Fla., David of Debary, Fla., Jason of Yarmouth, and Roger of Rochester, N.H.; two daughters, Carol Landry Perham and Mary Ann Celeste of Westbrook; a brother Louis Landry of East Boothbay; two sisters, Edna Cressey of Englewood, Fla., and Muriel Audet of Westbrook; 12 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. Visiting hours will be from 7-9 p.m., Monday at Blais & Hay Funeral Home, 35 Church St., Westbrook. A funeral mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m., Tuesday at St. Mary Church. Interment will be in Woodlawn Cemetery.
