Services for Mrs. Tilden P. Viator, the former Rosie Langlinais, 88, will be conducted at 11 a.m. Thursday at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church with the Rev. Mark Derise officiating. Interment will follow in St. Peters Cemetery.Visiting hours will be observed today from 4 p.m. until 10 p.m. with a rosary being recited at 7 p.m. at Evangeline Funeral Home. Visitation will resume Thursday at 8 a.m. until the time of service.A native of Iberia Parish and a resident of New Iberia, Mrs. Viator died at 7 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 18, 2005, in a Jeanerette Nursing Home.Mrs. Viator loved to dance and volunteer at a number of nursing homes in the area.She is survived by her three daughters, Grace Viator Dore and husband Davey, Nancy Viator Verret and husband Unell, and Joyce Viator Ackal all of New Iberia; a daughter-in-law, Deborah Gaspard Viator of Coteau; 12 grandchildren, Becky Dore Beck and husband Mike of Satsuma, Lottie Dore Stevenson and husband Greg of Green River, Wyo., Glenda Dore Langston and husband Mitchel of Baton Rouge, Cyndi Guercio of Baton Rouge, Trudie Verret of Broussard, Kathy Verret McCain and husband Jon of Boussard, Brian Paul Verret of Broussard, Louis M. “Mike” Ackal and wife Jamie of Loureauville, Tim Ackal of Virginia Beach, Va., Chad R. Viator of Coteau, Shannon Viator and wife Theresa of Parks and Robin Viator of Coteau; 20 great-grandchildren; 10 great-great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Lelia Huval Romero Trahan and Lucy Huval Palmer and husband Tony all of New Iberia.Mrs. Viator was preceded in death by her husband, Tilden P. Viator; a son, Glenn Ray Viator; father, Clomire Langlinais; mother, Azalea Morvant Langlinais Huval; a sister, Arsene Langlinais; and a brother, Noah Langlinais.Pallbearers will be members of the family.In lieu of flowers, the family prefers memorials to be made in Mrs. Viator’s name to Hospice of Acadiana, 2600 Johnston Street, Suite 200, Lafayette, LA 70503.Evangeline Funeral Home of New Iberia is in charge of the arrangements.
