WINDHAM - Glenn F. Larrivee of Land of Nod Rd. died Saturday, Dec. 10, 2005 at the Maine Medical Center. He was born in Gorham on Dec. 10, 1934 the son of Eugene and Shirley Marsh Larrivee. Glenn attended Cal-Flyers Aeronautical School in Inglewood, Calif., and also worked for American Airlines in California. Glenn had many careers in his working life including driving tractor trailer for J.J. Nissen and Hannaford Brothers, owning and operating Ray's Store with his wife on the Corner of Rt. 202 and River Rd. in Windham for 17 years. He had a garage built almost at the intersection of Rt. 202 and River Rd. and ran L & F Truck & Car Sales for nine years. He bought and remodeled the old Trigon Farm at the rotary in Windham and turned it into office space which he operated for 21 years, the space is now the location of Hanncock Lumber. He loved feeding the wild animals; he liked buying and repairing old tractors, owning several and was a member of the Maine Antique Tractor Club. He enjoyed going to auctions and collecting old tools. Glenn was a masterful craftsman who could build anything with his hands; he would cut and split 10 cord of wood a year from his land. He liked to cook. He is predeceased by his mother and father a son, Mark; a brother, Eugene; and his best friend, his dog Penny who was 21 years old. He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Nancy; a son, Michael Larrivee of Portland; two sisters, Audrey Shaw of St. Pete, Fla., and Louise Smith of Oxford, Fla.; and a brother-in-law, Gerald Shaw of Spring Hill, Fla. There will be no services.
