Dr. Samuel Fulton LaRue II, 85, Chippewa Falls, Wis., formerly of Shillington, died Sept. 24 in The Rutledge Home, Chippewa Falls, where he had resided more than 3 years.He was the husband of Joan (Heber) LaRue.Born in Shillington, he was a son of the late Samuel F. and Maria (Gross) LaRue.LaRue practiced dentistry in Chippewa Falls from 1950 until his retirement in 1996.He was a 1939 graduate of Shillington High School and a graduate of the University of Pennsylvania School of Dentistry, Philadelphia. He also attended Franklin & Marshall College, Lancaster, and Albright College.LaRue was a life member of the Northwest District Dental Society in Wisconsin, where he was a past president and secretary-treasurer.He was a charter member of the North Star Ski Club and the Lake Wissota Yacht Club, both in Wisconsin.LaRue is also survived by two sons, Samuel F. Jr. and Dr. Randy, both of Chippewa Falls; and three daughters: Susan (LaRue) Quinn, Eau Claire, Wis.; and Julia (LaRue) Kassner and Collette (LaRue) Warpinski, both of Green Bay, Wis.Other survivors include a brother, Haller G., Wyomissing.There are also 11 grandchildren.Graveside services will be Wednesday at 10 a.m. in the Northern Wisconsin Veterans Memorial Cemetery, near Spooner, Wis. The Smith Funeral Chapel, Eau Claire, is in charge of arrangements.
